How can we strengthen the efficiency in the car repair process? 

The overall aim for all players in the process must be to make it more cost-effective and gain the adequate degree of quality. The players involved are not only the workshop owners and the customers, but also everyone in the business process like insurance companies, importers, transportation, OEM´s, authorities and last but not least, the car owner. 

Is it sufficient that the aftermarket business produces more effective hardware tools and quicker software to support? No it is not. A huge part in the lead time is the waiting time. Waiting for spare parts, waiting for a decision from the insurance companies, waiting for space in the spray booth, etc etc. 

Waiting time is profit killing and also a source for irritation. We need better planning and operational control of the whole repair process.
